Ever have those days where it seems like every time you go to do something, you forget the purpose? Well, I had one of those days. As we were making dinner, I was planning out the bento that I was going to immediately make and photograph using the leftovers. Once dinner was finished, I put the leftovers in the fridge, cleaned the kitchen, went to sit down, and suddenly remembered that I didn’t make my bento!
So there I was, racing against the sun! I only had about 10 minutes of good sunlight left to get this bento put together and photographed. It’s not my greatest work, but it’ll do in a pinch. I apologize for the blurry photo!! For some reason, I couldn’t get my camera to focus right.
In the bento: grilled chicken, sautéed kale, green beans, cherries, and a mini-Babybel cheese.
The fabric under the bento is from a little shop on the street going to Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto. I thought the cat looked just like my stinker strolling along the streets of Kyoto under the cherry blossoms. I couldn’t resist getting it!
On a technical note, I finally got the RSS feed to work with Feedburner! Yay! 🙂 I’m still working on adding my old photos to the photo gallery, but it’s almost done.
Happy Bento-ing!
